New years start

Happily, I've had a few days off and was able to spend some time cutting and gluing the first of many bits inside the hull. Assembling the centre board case took longer than I had guessed, but, with the exception of a pot of resin going up in smoke, all went well.
The bench I made years ago is finally getting a workout. Designed to be as versatile as possible, a grid of 20mm holes was accurately drilled through the 100mm ply bench top and end vice. With steel pins or plastic bench stops in the holes and powerful end and side vices, many clamping options are available. As a bonus, the quick grip brand clamps with click on/off heads also fit through nicely, making clamping down around odd shapes quite easy.

Can't think of a better way to start a new year.
